Work Schedule:

100% FTE, hours. Monday- Friday, 8 hour shifts between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No weekends, holidays, or call.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to:

  • Provide pain care (acute and chronic pain care) for adult patients in an inpatient clinical setting. The Nurse Practitioner will demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with pain, including acute postoperative/traumatic pain, chronic non-cancer and cancer related plan conditions.
  • Evaluate and manage patients referred to the Acute and Chronic Pain and Inpatient Pain Services. The Anesthesiology Pain Service provides consultations and the development of a comprehensive pain management plans for patients with complex pain and is actively involved in perioperative analgesia for both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary health team and function with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Work with a team consisting of a small group of physicians and advanced practice providers.

Education:

Minimum - Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult, Adult/Gerontology, or Adult Acute Care.

All Nurse Practitioner applicants must have:

Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
