The Medical Imaging Managerof CT/IR is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned modalities and the associated patient procedures to ensure quality services and patient directed care. The manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring standards and scope of professional practice which results in high level customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities: Modality Management
Responsible for oversight and supervision of staff from recruitment and hiring to employment separation.
Oversees staff orientation, training, coaching and performance review.
Responsible for daily department operations including, staff workflow efficiencies, staffing matrices and equipment operationalization to ensure optimum patient care and accessibility.
Works directly with the modality lead(s) and the modality Radiologist(s) to ensure standardized patient care and workflows, while utilizing best practice techniques.
Performs personnel procedures including payroll, time and attendance and progressive disciplinary action in a timely and accurate manner.
Works collaboratively with other areas of the hospital to ensure high quality, timely and coordinated patient care and a high level of patient satisfaction.
Works cross-campus with UW partners to review, direct and adjust applicable patient care workflows/procedures and KPI performance metrics
Collaborates with UPH Radiology leaders to review and update EPIC Radiant exams/charges and applicable modality workflows & KPI performance metrics
Assures initiatives are implemented and goals are met
Maintains current knowledge and skills to provide support to staff with patients and equipment as appropriate
Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation
Responsible for regulatory accreditations, including modality-specific accreditations as applicable
Oversees the services provided by the medical physicist to ensure compliance with all regulations as well as optimal patient care and safety.
Responsible for compliance with all regulatory agencies including DNV, CMS, OSHA and the State of Wisconsin.
Budget Management
Utilize quality improvement methods, financial and activity reports, and key measures to effectively manage resources to meet budget and activity targets Evaluates, recommends and justifies capital equipment purchases. Recommends proper level of service for costly levels of maintenance. Approves unplanned service.
Recommends expense budget including FTE
Oversees daily staffing, flexing onsite staffing to patient volumes to stay within budget

Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree
3 years of patient-care experience in the imaging department of a large medical facility as an Imaging Technologist (CT/IR) or RNCertification in applicable technologist or RN specialty for team(s) overseen
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
